Delectable lists this as a Nebbiolo, but I think it’s a blend. It’s as honest a basic dinner wine as you can get. Flowers, earth, macerated dark cherry. Savory in the mouth, with earthy, clingy flavors, framed by good tannic and acid structure. Bottle given to me by my bro, who remembers me bringing various 1960s and 1970s Vallana wines to family dinners in the old days. — 6 years ago

This 2012 #carinena blend Reserva is wonderful. It does open up after almost an hour but is fruit-forward with a touch of the regional Spanish bell pepper notes. I agree with another reviewer, it does pair well with pizza. — 8 years ago

We waited over 5 years to try this wine and finally thanks to a super sweet gift from my bro in law we savoured it to end 2016 over a lovely fondue dinner. Terrified it would not be worth the ~100$ it costs ...our fears were quickly subdued in the first sip! Well worth the wait. Will seek this out again for a special treat.
