Best South African Chardonnay that I've had to date. Golden color with brilliant reflections of light gold. An initial attack of light oak on the palate but finishes with great freshness from the balanced acidity. Eben Sadie, King of South African Syrah, actually is a genius with every varietal he works with. From Syrah, Grenache, Chenin Blanc, and even this, 100% old vine Cinsault, raised in concrete and stainless steel, this wine is pure, vibrant, spicy and fresh with great depth in its pretty bouquet of wild strawberries, dark , stemmy fruit and minerals.
