Deep black color with brickish rim. Aromas is dried herbs and spices are layered with smoky tobacco and cigar box. Dried cherry and currant notes join in on the palate yet the overall profile is of cinnamon, anise and other dried spices which echo on the long finish. — 12 years ago
I'm going to come clean, I'm not a huge Caymus fan. It's by no means a bad wine - far from it - but I've always felt they blend their Cab with too much Zin. I could be wrong on that account, but I don't think I am. Still, a nice brooding nose of dark red and blue fruit, with a touch of candied fruit and wet earth. — 11 years ago

Rich without being cloying. Could use a touch more zing of acidity but the fruit and brioche are very nice. — 11 years ago
Love this wine and winery! Fresh blue and black fruit, violets, sueded texture, polished tannin — 12 years ago

2011 vintage. Strawberry and stewed rhubarb on the nose, nicely balanced taste with pleasant minerality on the finish. Better then the 2009 or 2010 vintages which had a bit too much acidity, and drinking well right now. — 11 years ago
