I'm going to come clean, I'm not a huge Caymus fan. It's by no means a bad wine - far from it - but I've always felt they blend their Cab with too much Zin. Deep black color with brickish rim. Aromas is dried herbs and spices are layered with smoky tobacco and cigar box. Dried cherry and currant notes join in on the palate yet the overall profile is of cinnamon, anise and other dried spices which echo on the long finish. — 12 years ago

Absolutely stunning, the wine of the evening in a tough crowd. So many notes on nose, hung meat, sweat, earth, blue cheese, orange, cardamom pepper and ginger with some hoisin sauce...magnificent.
