Free sample at the grocery store was surprisingly good. Enjoyed a bottle at home with smoked pork loin. Well balanced tannins and fruit. Not a particularly big Cabernet, but substantial enough. I'll look for it again. — 10 years ago

Since Portugal is going to be the next Chile, decided to give a couple inexpensive wines a try.
Nicely surprised - Smokey and deep cheery. Not complex, and rather light. But a nice wine just for sitting about, large groups, or when you don't want to pop a Big Boy of your collection.

Everyone needs mt Etna wines in their collection (Sicily). Some can be big, but most are subtle, elegant, and go well with a very wide array of foods. This one is explosive in flavor but isn't over-extracted in the least. I now have several favorite Mt Etna wines- lets hope the volcano doesn't ruin all the vines — 13 years ago
