I bought my first vintage from this producer & terroir beginning with the 2010 vintage and what a vintage to start. I bought four bottles for right around $50 or a little less. They were so amazing, I drank through them in no time at all. For those of you that read my posts, that’s not normally what I do. I like to drink one & age the rest. Since then, I have looked & looked for more. I’d finally given up hopes of finding more until recently I struck gold. I should have bought all nine bottles but a calmer head prevailed. It’s definitely changed since having it fresh. On the nose, the fruits are slightly macerated. Heather honey, beeswax, golden & green apple, pineapple upside down cake, slight orange citrus blend, mango, glazed nuts, soft, delicate, chalky minerals, a touch of jasmine & yellow lilies. The body is much rounder & thicker than when it was young. Waxy. So, beautifully layered across the palate. Much of the palate matches the nose. Heather honey, beeswax, golden & green apple, apricots, peach, pineapple upside down cake, slight orange citrus blend, mango, slight molasses character & glazed nuts with citrus blossoms, yellow lilies & jasmine. The minerals are much more grippy & bold as they cut across and set on the palate. The acidity round & phat. The texture is amazing as is the length, balance & beautiful, rich, long finish that lasts two-minutes plus. So glad I found more of this wine! Hubert Lamy seriously over deliver the terroir & the price point by a country mile. If you are not buying this wine on pre-arrival, you are missing great wine and excellent value. Can’t say enough good things about it. Especially, the 2010. I expect the 15 to hold similar quality. Photos of; Olivier Lamy, Olivier working in this vineyard, barrel room and their Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Vineyard. Producer notes and history...There have been Lamy’ s growing vines in St-Aubin since 1640, today it is run by Olivier Lamy. Olivier is a new breed of Burgundian grower keen to progress. He trained Méo-Camuzet & made a number of vintages before taking over in 1996 from his father Hubert. Hubert Lamy used to sell fruit to négociants, but that stopped in 1997. He grubbed up and sold off peripheral vines, keeping only the best and oldest sites. Currently he is experimenting with different planting densities in a quest to capture even greater expression of terroir. The Domaine produces both reds and whites and now has 16.5 hectares of vineyards, mostly in St-Aubin but also own a few parcels in Chassagne-Montrachet and a tiny plot in the Grand Cru Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet. Yields are kept low and recent innovations have been introduced with selection tables in the cuverie to ensure that only the healthiest and ripest grapes are used. His more recent move to reduce the amount of new oak with the introduction of demi-muids 300-600 liter barrels have also helped to improve the wines. Vinification is traditional and the wines are matured with only 20-30% new oak for 12 months before minimal filtration and then bottling. The quality is very high and is often superior to many wines from much more prominent villages that sell at twice the price or more. — 8 years ago
One of the best of Morgon I've had. A classic I would always stock up to drink both young and to age. This 2014 was beautiful, bright acid, red fruits and a little rose. All natural. — 9 years ago
Started like a willamette Pinot, finished like a red burgundy= best of both worlds!!
An absolutely fantastic offerring from Juan and company at Realm. Their merlot-driven cuvee with the rest cab franc, cabernet, and petite verdot, this wine boasts increbile fruit and depth of flavor. Sweet, ripe tannins and a long finish that both suggest many years of life, this is easily the best version of The Tempest that I've ever had (and I've tried every vintage of this wine). Just terrific. — 10 years ago

I'm a big red wine type of person. This is Paloma's little sister. Grapes from dry creek valley. Best wine I've had from that area ever. Wish they still made. I've had 2007 as well and both are outstanding. — 11 years ago
When Clyde told me we were going to do a dinner of 2000 vintage Bordeaux, I knew that the Champagne served had to be one of our very best. This wine has incredible depth and complexity from the slow ripening Arbanne and Meslier, along with the incredible acidity and brightness that can’t be shaken from these ancient varieties. Not many wines have both the breadth and length of this incredible, electric Champagne. It was a wower, especially with the salmon appetizer. — 11 years ago
One of the best Olorosos I've had in quite some time. It is remarkably Madeira like-- much more so than other Olorosos I've had. The palate is both explosive and expansive with the perfect kiss of residual sugar: dried banana, walnut, oatmeal, root beer, figs, treated leather, cigar--- this could go on for a while. — 11 years ago

Best of both worlds, a modern classic. Marvelous Bdx-blend! — 12 years ago
Loved this malbec syrah blend. Best of both grapes with light start, rich chocolate and pleasing spice. Big fan especially for the price. I’ll be back. — 7 years ago
From a magnum purchased in Paris on release. When viewed in the decanter no signs of age. This is a wine that has a little bit of everything both on the nose and the palate . Earth, funk, red fruit, plums, spice, leather, and cigar box. All of these elements are showcased and supported by an abundance of tannin and acid. Powerful but silky. Hands down the best 1998 CDP I have tasted . — 7 years ago
Milissa had this 9 years ago
So in the battle is who is the best child... we paired the 88 vs the 90 (son vs daughter birth year). Both were outstanding but the 88 had more age in the color and softness on the nose and palate. Family currently arguing over density but for me the 90 was more dense. Lots of mixed fruit leather smoke and terroir which is very French but great for those who enjoy it. So in the name of family peace we rate both as outstanding but the 90 (the daughter) is a bit bigger. Cheers — 9 years ago
Don't need to say much here. One of the worlds best Pinot producers. If you have had BP - do it — 9 years ago
Had the '09 and really liked it. Smooth and complex finish. Drinks like a brunello but more fruit forward. Heard it was a cross between brunello and supertuscan and it definitely drank like it. Best of both — 9 years ago
Probably the best red I've had in a while. Round, balanced fruit, deeply rich and complex. A little chocolate and smoke in the middle, but a nice hint of a peppery, acidic finish right at the front of your pallet.
The round fruit of a new world cab with the bold, earthy complexity of Italy. The best of both worlds. — 10 years ago
@KermitLynchWine Offer some of the worlds best wine, but also great values like this. #CôtesDuRhône — 11 years ago
Best Sancerre I can recall having. To my palette, this was strong on tropical fruit flavors with hints of both vanilla and cream. Definitely worth buying a few bottles to keep at home. — 11 years ago
Experienced this at the Peju Winery and was hooked on this blend. It's definitely the best of both worlds -- red and white (and I'm typically not a white wine fan). Very enjoyable to drink. Now a staple in our house. Remember to serve chilled. — 11 years ago
Tempranillo and Cab- best of both worlds — 11 years ago
Decanted for 2 hours, color brickred, no brown tinge, nose very Cabernet Franc freshly cut green peppers, very elegant and a fantastic clean taste, not a sign of 14 years old, almost eternaly, is in it’s best time span now. A thrilling wine very Happy to have both 2011 and 2013 in my collection. — 7 years ago
This works- fruit from the Hunter and Mclaren Vale, best of both regions, very moorish. — 8 years ago
Very rich and Cab Franc forward. Fruity and refreshing with a light dry finish. A very unique blend of ripe berries, orange, and coconut. Appeals to both traditional red wine fans and those who never drink reds. Enjoyable room temperature, chilled, over ice, or frozen. Perfect naked, but also blends well as a spritzer or punch. The wine is the star and it’s not watered down; boldly boasts a 12.5% ALC. There is no other bottled Sangria like this on the market - truly, the best Sangria I have ever had. — 8 years ago
One of the best madirans I've ever had because The blend is perfect.. the Sauvignon gives a solid spine to this tannat based wine, and that dollop of cab franc gives a gamey green note which would make it a magical match for a nice duck confit or even a lamb dish.. (braised leg perhaps ) needs another year or an hour in a decanter ....or both!!. — 9 years ago
Pinot Noir Shootout after a long week in Wine Bizz at where @WineWorks Marlton. Well Roar vs Roar! Both 2014! Rosella vs Pisoni! See pics.. Rosellas comes across with 15-20 minutes nice plum, tart cherry a little restrained, Yup! Probably young but O Well! After 1 Hour really opens up! Great mouth feel, good acidity really opening up! Then we try the Pisoni 2014 next! See Pic! CB 95 AFTER 2 Hours Rosellas opened even More! Giving me a humble upgrade to 97-97+! It happens to Best of us. CB — 9 years ago

Onw of the best Barolo's we've had. Both loves it. Very smooth, almost creamy. Buy again for sure. — 10 years ago
Had this beauty when I proposed to my fiancé! 1996 vintage brut by De Venoge out of Epernay! Age has done this champagne well. Nice creamy mouth feel, delicate, very fine bubbles, lemon zest, mousse, golden apples, toasted nuts.. arguably one of the best 1996 champagnes out there. A prime example of how a great growing year and proper aging after digorgement, like a 15+ year old vintage Cristal or Bolinger. Can't wait to try their vintage Rosé extra brut 2002, and their 2006 Rosé Brut that are also 93 rated! They both probably need several more years to mature so that the citrus acidity has lessened a bit and all the complexities emurge. Back from my tangent, try this champagne before there aren't anymore left! $199 at total wine for the gift set! — 10 years ago
A clean and clear appearance that is a pale lemon-gold in color.
The nose is medium+ in intensity, with both primary and secondary aromas which at first seemed rounder, but grew to be sharper and more intense than the entry level Sancerre.
The lemon citrus is there, but this time is thicker like a lemon curd. Ginger notes appear here as well. The nose is just as pungent as the entry level with herbs, but the level is more intense and the aromas overall are broader and deeper. The mineral note seems more subdued by the oak, but it is noticeable and seems more like smoked salt. The oak is not so much "oaky", it seems more textural to the other aromas of the nose like a seasoning, rather than any actual flavor. Aroma complexity is medium+.
The palate is a noticeable step up from the entry level wine in intensity (medium+) and much sharper complexity, with more body as well (medium). There is a feeling of a creamier texture, but not in flavor. This wine is very dry as well, it is lean and clean on the palate with high acidity.
The finish is long, with the flavors of lemon curd, ginger, smoke and fresh herbs sailing on for 30+ seconds.
From 70 year old vines, this is a high quality wine, maybe one of the best Sauvignon Blanc I have ever tasted. The wine is impeccably balanced and seamless from the attack to the long finish., Great now, this can go easily another 5 years adding depth and complexity from aging. This wine is one year older than the entry level Sancerre, and typical of Boulay, the higher end bottlings are more expressive with a few years of age. — 11 years ago
This was like a really nice white Burgundy trapped in a Champagne's body. Or maybe it was the other way around. I don't know which but this blew my fragile oenological eggshell mind. By far the best Champagne I have ever had and by far the most unique. We drank this out of both flutes and red wine glasses to compare and contrast since it is very much atypical of Champagne. Next time I will drink the whole bottle as we drank only half of this one. Worth every penny. — 11 years ago

This is really terrific. One of the best Chablis I've ever tasted. This bottling is from Sevrin's personal vineyards, not the Domaine. While at a small estate Burgundy tasting I expressed my dismay at the rep not having a Chablis. She just happened to have a bottle is this in her purse and let me try it. While I don't remember specifics from such a small taste, there was a very distinctive mineral and flint quality that was perfectly balanced with a lush roundness. Both wonderfully traditional AND delightfully distinctive. Can't wait to buy a case!! — 12 years ago
Manuel Buergi
what a great wine! correggia's 2015 is terrific, in fact the best version of this wine i have ever tasted! the azienda matteo correggia has created a wine that unites both the beauty of the masculine & feminine side of nebbiolo. black & red stone fruit, chestnut, finesse and saturating tannins & minerals... all in all, an overwhelming mouthfeel. can't wait to see this wine age — 7 years ago
