dark red. nose: leather. prunes. overripe berries. lots of jam. mouth: full body. medium big tannins. more jam and leather on the mouth. drinks like a cab. medium follow through. love it — 4 years ago

Nice bottle. Rounded out fruit and tannins, great pairing with Italian. — 6 years ago
A tannic monster. Figured a wine named "Wild Boar" is appropriate for Father's Day. This is so freaking dark in notes, but the color wouldn't allude to that. Color is red/purple and smells hot. Red licorice, peppercorn, anise on the nose. High tannins on the palate. Cedar, smoky, beef jerky notes to it. Spicy rhubarb too. If opening now, this needs at least a two hour decant. — 8 years ago
Locorice braised candied cherries desert like distinctive — 9 years ago
A wine to remember. Plenty of fruit after 38 years. It continued to open for an hour and held on long after that. A truly special wine. many thx Mike for letting us help "rescue" this one from a worn out cork. — 10 years ago
Gift from Matt. I really like this. Each time I have it. — 2 years ago

Not familiar prior to tonight (1.29.22) — 3 years ago
A pre-dinner bottle while we do meal prep tonight.
Prior notes still apply:
Nose has lime zest, lime juice, green hay, wet granite/limestone pebbles, oxidized green apple peel, polyethylene tubing and tangerine peel.
Palate has Key lime flesh, cold tangerine slice, apricot skin, wet-pulverized limestone, lemongrass, tangerine zest, (minor) dried apricot and light honey on the medium finish, medium acid, great balance. — 4 years ago
Dry yet succulent. Was quite impressive. — 7 years ago
Pre-Release.
Deep and dark ruby red. Lovely and thick nose with dark cocoa, lots of bright red cherries, cinnamon and more baking spices. Heavy tannins (8/10) and drying. Lots of red berries, especially cherries on the palate. Some twigs and earthiness too. Long and lingering finish that needs some time. Little bit of heat in the finish. Drink till 2030. — 8 years ago

Still the best Oregon white I've ever had. Rocking acid, nice nose, great finish. White Burgundy Doppelgänger, but at a fraction of the cost. — 11 years ago
Above average Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc. Rich, mild citrus flavor. Paired very well with shrimp. — 3 years ago
We had the 2013 Vintage on 5/2-3/21. This was a terrific full bodied, well balanced wine. Tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch and vanilla on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. A great example of the Napa floor. — 4 years ago
Very silky with nice honeysuckle notes. Balanced. Some pineapple finish — 6 years ago
Flora springs. One of our favorite labels! Never disappointed. Smooth blend. Super easy drinker. Crowd pleaser — 7 years ago
Heavy on the melon, plenty of a acidity and just a whisper of oak. — 7 years ago
Absolute delight. Deep berries and currants. Very fruity yet balanced with earthy minerals and light tannins. Great food wine with white meats and medium intensity flavours. Couldn't stop drinking this! — 9 years ago
I wanted more from this. A lot of fruit but not a lot of syrah typicty. Pretty though. — 11 years ago
Cali Zin with refinement. Very nice. Need to get more of this. — 11 years ago
Jason Gelman
heavy pencil shavings and cigar smoke on the nose. black olive and green bell pepper too. color is definitely what you’d expect in a 20 year old wine. palate is consistent with nose, very bordeaux-lite. heavy cigar box. a lot of olive and herb tapenade character. some black pepper on the finish too. very savory overall. — 2 years ago
