Reminiscent of good quality Chambolle with a touch more flesh and pliancy. This is stupid good for the price, when I’m old I’ll be bitching about how cheap this was back in the day. High toned, crunchy, deeply earthy and loaded with ripe red/black fruit. The finesse is there. Black cherry, wild strawberry, rhubarb compote, black tea, wildflowers, wet leaves, undergrowth, spice. Again, the elegance coupled with the perfume and harmony this carries really delivers. — 7 years ago

Really funky looking cork, sludgy as fuck. Needed to blow off its captivity but was pure and delicious after about 10 minutes. Really enjoyed this. Starting to integrate the sugar nicely. Would be curious to revisit after some more years. Or to try again with spicy food. — 9 years ago

A very nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Becker Vineyards, Texas wine can be excellent! This was a wine club selection, probably won't find it in store. A bit pricey at $40. — 11 years ago
Mon dieu! This wine has an incredibly mineral-flushed nose, almost minty from all the whetstony chloride-alkaline minerals! Light ruby slightly hazy in color; medium-high acids and fine tannins, red fruit-dominated and perhaps a bit disappointing on the finish. Try in 3-5 years?! A shockingly clean and dry Riesling with subtle skittles-like aroma. Significantly more enjoyable on day 2 (a decanter not available to me). I am far from an expert on this stuff but I would imagine some more years under the belt might help this yield more? Acid for days but not aggressive. Just tightly wound.
