I think all wine drinkers love opening an old bottle and having it taste amazing. Wine is a story, and there is not a better tale than when you articulate how you bought a bottle, aged it, and then opened it to find out it was still better than the majority of wines out there. This bottle was a bear to open as I couldn't get the cork out or push the cork in, that's a story in itself. A great nose that tells you it was and still is high quality. Great smoke, tons of herbs, and even some vegetables on the palate. Very refined and still kickin 20+yrs later! A great story with a great finish :). Thanks Ted & Jim! — 8 years ago
