Clay-based soils yield the most agreeable reds for my palette and this is no exception. This has surprising structure and mouthfeel for a Pinot, but still very clean and smooth. Excellent choice with our Thanksgiving dinner, and the fair pricing is one more thing to be thankful for. — 6 years ago
Nice wine. Full on the mouth. Gives you some fruit, some chalk, tannins don't disappoint. Thank you Bart @Bart Hansen - Dane Cellars — 7 years ago
2011 Vintage opened March 2016. Soft blue fruit and violets upfront with intense and rich earth and red/black fruit in the finish. The acid is intense and a quite angular. Second bottle was super rustic and much more angular not sure if it was me or the bottle...took a 9.3 down to a 9.0 — 9 years ago

Such a lovely burg. Wild and meaty, with ample fruit and great structure. — 7 years ago
A dream of 2 brothers, in 1999, Jan and Bart founded Krupp Brothers, producing their first vintage: a Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of a blend of 81% Cab Sauvignon, 13% Malbec 5% Cab Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, 21 months in French oak (90% new). Complex aromas ripe fruits, herb, spice and earthy notes. Flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and currants, big full flavors adding some cacao and espresso notes. Soft tannins, lingering finish ending with fruit and slight earthy mineral tone. Will age well, very nice. — 7 years ago

I say fennel, @Evan Hansen says no, but there is some fennel. Fennel and almost ripe tropical fruit. — 10 years ago

Very chambolle and pretty. Darkish cloudy red. Note of wild strawberry, cherry and spices. Medium body and acidity. Could smell this for a very long time. Seductive. — 6 years ago
In 1999, Jan and Bart founded Krupp Brothers, producing their first vintage: a Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 4% Merlot & 3% Petit Verdot, 28 months barrel aging, small 224 case production. Deep dark dense red with enticing fruit and herb floral aromas adding an underlying sweetness. Cherry, plum and blackberry flavors with tobacco and oak notes, some nuttiness. Refined big tannins on lingering complex finish ending with earthy herb and fruit. Needs more time to truly enjoy. Tasting Sample — 7 years ago
'03 was considered a down year in Napa Valley. Not true for this marvelous wine. Bart and Daphne should be proud of this marvelous Eisele Vineyards Cabernet. Such a Joy. A wine cellar is a necessity for those who want to have treasures like this at their peak. — 9 years ago
A satisfying wine without a lot of complexity. Pretty good varietal nose. — 9 years ago
