A Belgium beauty! Blonde. Robust. Smooth. Gentle spice. . A "3 grain" ale of barley, oats, & wheat. — 8 years ago
Sauturnes front giving way to heat, spice, and that musty peaty terroir. Pulls no punches, but velvet gloves every one. — 9 years ago

This is a very nicely balance rye. Nose is toasted cinnamon and clove. Palate is sweet brown sugar on the entry followed by distinctive rye spices. Finish could be a bit longer but has a nice unexpected barley note. This is a full bodied assertive, yet gentle, whiskey for those afraid of ryes (like I once was...). — 9 years ago
This is one of the most purely delicious spirits I've tasted in quite some time. Bourbon-like vanilla and cherry aromas, prevalent chocolate in the middle and roasted corn at the end. Alcoholic, but smooth on the palate w/ more of that bourbon corn and butterscotch. Very cool product!! Hope to see its return! — 9 years ago
If grapes and river rocks had a baby. Roasted corn and freshly washed dog, green strawberries and fig newton. Perfection of balance for a barley. The sweetness is secondary, and that is just right! The acidity loans a deft touch. Creamy and short on the caramel, there is an applewood point, and an alluvial depth. Thanks to Josh for bringing this Lawrence gem to the Sunshine State! #barleywine #freestate #kansas #agedbeer — 10 years ago

This is, honestly, the first beer I've ever had that I would call perfect. It passed my two tests for perfection: First, if it's not an IPA, would I rather be drinking an IPA? No. Second, would I rather be drinking wine (never, ever happens)? No.
If Toblerone made a beer, they could only dream it would turn out like this. Toffee, honeycomb, roasted almond, and so much stone fruit it's like sucking on a peach pit. Certainly the first time I can call hops seductive, evident, but well concealed, and eventually enveloping. What seals the deal though, is the absurdly creamy mouthfeel, like a satin pillow. For $15 there isn't anything from anywhere that is better. — 9 years ago
