Fantastic Alsatian blend from Elk Cove. Ripe, fruity peach aromas with rich mineral notes. Juicy and fruity on the palate with big, bracing acidity. The fruitiness almost leads to a hint of sweetness. Beautiful, long, lingering finish. — 11 years ago
Now THIS is a desert wine! One of Maryland's finest. — 12 years ago
I've always loved this 2nd grow. It's Cabernet dominated blend ages slowly allowing older vintages to taste impeccable. 2004 was not a banner year for Bordeaux, but it offered good values on wines typically selling for over $100. While not my favorite Pichon Lalande, the glass was elegant and refined. Cheers! — 10 years ago
