Casanova di Neri

Tenuta Nuova Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2007

Like a lot of 2007 Tuscans, fully ready when the bottle is open. Accessible but not light weight...rich and dark . Glad I have moe and gave this one a try. — 11 years ago

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1998

1998 vintage has held up really well! With my buddy Gibby and wife. Let it decant over several hours and it opened up beautifully. Cedar, leather and mineral on the nose. Long finish with full body. Wish I has 10 moe bottles. — 11 years ago

Castellare di Castellina

Riserva Vigna Il Poggiale Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2010

Best Chianti I've had...but also the most expensive one I've tried. Just ordered some moe bottles online — 11 years ago

Peter Lehmann

Joseph Phelps Vineyards

Fogdog Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2011

Today I stopped by my store of choice with no intention of buying anything, just to look for ideas. When I saw this Pinot and it's label I said I guess I will breakdown a try this tonight. The aromas are a wonderful violet floral notes , some menthol, really nice red fruit, red raspberries and black cherries. I couldn't wait to get into this. This is a very well balanced Pinot with bright acidity and smooth tannins with a great mouth feel. There is also some good spice and hints of minerality. Not knowing anything about this wine until I got home and I Looked it up. I had no idea it was a Joseph Phelps wine. What a wonderful surprise and only cost me $27 bones. I am going back for moe! — 12 years ago
