Fantastic bottle of classic Brunello, brought back in 2013, from our visit there. One of the best I've had. Red fruits, hint of vanilla, full bodied and medium to long finish. Outstanding...... at Bacio with my bride, and some Copper River Salmon. A great finish to my B-day that began with a round at Spring Hill. — 8 years ago

Wow. What a wine....big, bold, in your face Bordeaux style juice of impeccable quality! Tight at the open, but after 30 minutes at Bacio,it opened into this full bodied luscious wine of berries, earth, and legs that Rod Stewart would be proud to chase in his earlier years...sexy. Back after 3,750 miles to and from Florida via 2 great friends as pilots (so I could make some mtgs there) , the night called for celebration! — 8 years ago

2013 Janzen Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard 
Opened a bottle of 2013 Janzen Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard Cab by Bacio Divino Cellars.  The vineyard is situated north of Yountville.  Dense and rich in the glass yet approachable in early days.  I would like to revisit this in several years.  I had the similar impression when I tried a bottle of 2014 Melka CJ Napa Cab Blend. 
Yountvilleの北に位置するMissouri Hopper Vinyardのカベルネ葡萄を使ったワイン。早飲みも出来て、熟成にも耐えうるワインということで早飲みして見たけど、個人的には、熟成させて飲んでみたいワインでした。去年、MelkaのCJ Napa Cab Blend 2014を飲んだ時も同じことを思ったなあ。

Under their Janzen label, Bacio Divino produces three vineyard-designate Cabernet Sauvignons from the Cloudy’s Vineyard, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper, and Beckstoffer To Kalon. They also produce this Napa Cab which blends fruit from these vineyards with other select Napa vineyards. Kirk Venge is the consulting winemaker and viticulturist. Parker nails it with “intense notes of crushed plums, black cherries and mulberries plus notions of cedar chest, dried Provence herbs, underbrush and black pepper. Medium to full-bodied, the palate gives a very refreshing acid line, lifting the youthful black fruit, finishing long and chewy.” While the fruit is immediately evident and approachable, there’s still a fair amount of tannin. The acid provides an impression of citrus brightness atypical of many of its peers. And while I prefer Venge’s Silencieux, I’m not sure a comparison is relevant as this is completely different stylistically, and quite enjoyable because of that. — 8 years ago
