Superb value for money, exactly what you hope to taste when you open a Montepulciano — 6 years ago
20 year merlot from Tuscany. Serious stuff. — 11 years ago
Same vintage, but seems much more youthful than the Avignonesi. Very nice! — 12 years ago
— 3 years ago
Last night. Possibly wine of night though 2013 avignonesi nobile grande annati very close. Much better than the good 2013 fortuna brunello. Cherry tobacco very balanced and delicious. — 4 years ago
From 0,375l.
So unique, so rare. Equally thick, concentrated and complex.
What a privilege to savour this elixir.
Dark nuances of dried fruit (dates, raisins), mocha, spicebox, orange marmelade, earlgrey tea and honeysuckle.
Endless finish....
Heartwarming and humbling...
A wine for contemplation. — 5 years ago

Port aromas, perfect time for 2007 vintage, tobacco flavor, — 11 years ago
Ruby coloration with some translucency. On the nose, cherry, vanilla, warm spices, balsamic, leather and oak. On the palate, medium to fuller bodied, cherry, strawberry, vanilla, balsamic, oak and florals, with a certain softness and richness. Medium to longer finish. Good tannins. Revisited with a meal consisting of brasoto al Chianti con pappardelle. Beautiful pairing. Brought out notes of chocolate, smokiness and molasses and brought out the fullness and richness of wine. The wine and food really elevated one another. E180 at winery. — 4 years ago

Wow. This was fun. Great vintage. Still wound tight. — 6 years ago
Complete unadulterated decadence. Rich raisin fruit and toffee. This wine needs to be treated like a single lick of an ice cream cone. To fully appreciate, keep on the tip of the tongue. — 9 years ago
Interesante Chardone italiano bien servido para variar en Londres.
En Portobello road con Westbourne Grove tenemos este pequeño local con botellas de vino italiano a buen precio llamado Negozio Classica. — 12 years ago

Single vineyard. Vino nobile di Montepulciano. Dark ruby coloration with translucency common to Sangiovese wines. On the nose, florals, dark berries and black cherry with sweet spices. On the palate, rich and complex, currants and cherry and the fruit side giving way to earthiness and minerality, vanilla, with some herbs and rose petal. Tannins are still strong but balanced. Elegant and complex wine with a long layered finish. 240 euros from the winery. — 3 years ago
