Nice gamay with 13 percent alcohol. It is surprising and drinks above its weight class. We had it with a nice dinner but it would be a good wine with a picnic in the country. It has a beautiful balance of red fruit with a note of bitterness that gives it a complex flavor. Would be happy to drink again - a nice surprise! 😎 — 5 years ago

As a nice follow up to the lower priced poire authentique from Dr. Bordelet this was very much a stark difference. If the poire authentique was the blanc de blancs then this is the house style cuvee. This was rather balanced and restrained in comparison carrying a silky gold-coated attack...a touch of sun and tanned skin. Buttery, acidic, jolly ranchers...I would go as far as pulling heavily cliche words like elegant and classy. — 10 years ago

Nose on black fruits, pears, peaches and violets. Generous and supple round palate bringing its share of sweet spices, caramel and other well-melted tertiary notes. Authentic wine, unfussy, gourmet and juicy, highlighting this magnificent grape variety, Syrah. the finish deploys menthol, peppery, vegetal notes, very pleasant in length. Perfect as an aperitif. Will certainly go well with grilled pork bacon or equivalent.

Nez sur les fruits noirs, poires, pêches, et violette. Bouche ronde généreuse et souple apportant son lot d’épices douces, caramel et autres notes tertiaires bien fondues. Vin authentique, sans chichis, gourmand et juteux, mettant à l’honneur ce magnifique cépage qu’est la Syrah. La finale déploie des notes mentholées, poivrées, végétales, très agréables de longueur. Parfait dès l’apéro. Ira certainement très bien avec du porc grillé bacon ou équivalent. — 5 years ago

A few weeks ago I popped one of these and the reduction was a problem, this time I decanted and it is singing! So lively and intense, it's an attention grabber and beautifully generous with its orchard fruit, verbena and kiss of vanilla on the finish. All harmony and sunshine here. This is incredibly fun to drink and certainly will improve over the next few years. Need to try more from this producer! — 5 years ago

En bouche, une belle longueur, on sent le travail en équipe du vigneron. L’équipe familiale est authentique et très accueillante, fortement recommandé !
Une finale sur les fruits mûres, un peu caramélisé et une douceur en conclusion.
