Highly acidic. Notes of lemon and lychee. Mineral. Not an effervescent VV. — 5 years ago
Needs time to open up but evidence of Arinto’s aging potential. Displaying classic notes of oxidized apples, citrus juice and preserved citrus peel. Saline on the finish. — 6 years ago
Volcanic Verdelho do Pico (different from the Portuguese mainland Verdelho, also known as Godello in Spain) from vineyards located on 3 different islands - Pico, Graciosa and S. Miguel- in the Azores archipelago. Virtually at sea level and unusually close to the Ocean, vines grow on very poor volcanic basalt soils, surrounded by traditional stone-walled “currais” to protect them from the extreme Atlantic winds. Salty and mineral. Thirst-quenching acidity. Passion fruit. 🌋 🌋 — 6 years ago

I am not quite sure of the varietals in this blend. . However, the fruit and the acidity is in near perfect harmony. A really nice tasting blanco from Portugal. — 2 years ago
Nice wine..strong citrus, refreshing, not very sweet at all. Very smooth with hardly any acidity. Note: Our bottle is the Amarante grape.

Bought at Hudson Wine Merchants and drank alongside rosemary manchego, casteveltrano olives, almonds, lemony crackers, and turmeric sesame challah in the cutest Airbnb while writing something fun with Abigail — 6 years ago
Very nice white wine from the Azores. Indigenous grape, Arinto, from the Pico area. Lots of unripe citrus peel and stone on the nose. Mouth filling and precise with excellent acid and a long finish. Expressive yet restrained. Great savory saline quality - a wine to be enjoyed over some time as it unfolds. Excellent with oysters and other seafood. — 6 years ago
2 for 2. This time back in the US. Stone fruit. Medium in body. Hint of oak. Minerally. — 7 years ago
Seams heavy but leaves light - short after taste. Rich but not overwhelming. — 7 years ago
Smooth, slightly sweet with a twinge of lemon, great value for the price point, pairs very well with seafood (we had with a salmon nicoise salad). — 3 years ago
Strawberry notes. Lovely fizz, too! — 4 years ago
Light, drinkable rose. — 5 years ago

Minerals, salinity over pineapple and citrus. Mid yellow green. Not much nose. Interesting but simple. — 2 years ago
