Nice burgundy color. Earthy, oaky aroma. High acidity. Dry. Alcohol. Vanilla, flower petal and pepper. Medium body. Good tannin. Nice with chicken. — 10 years ago
BBQing wine for sure. Crowd pleaser. I've served this multiple times this summer during parties and it's always a hit. — 10 years ago
Capa alta y densidad alta, nariz potente naranja alcohólica , notas frutos secos y fruta negra en compota . En boca buena entrada , buen peso y final riquísimo. — 10 years ago

Dao, Portugal. It takes a while to open up but when it does it is all mature fruit and concentration. — 9 years ago
Only sold in the parador restaurant - why do all the wines I love not make it to the States? — 9 years ago

Good wine, but do need a few more years to develop. Well worth investing for the future. — 10 years ago
Penedo means rock and its on their estate. For such a light white, it's good good structure and complexity — 10 years ago
Another really strong white wine courtesy of Wine Library! On a roll with the whites lately. Citrusy, sweet and slightly sparkling. Nice choice on a warmer night in Cleveland. — 10 years ago
The bird is the word. One of the best wines I've had from Portugal. Definitely almost a light red. Pretty, juicy damson plum, pomegranate and raspberry purée notes are overlaid with pink rose and violet florals. Herbal sage and coriander notes add depth. General crunchiness and sapidity abide. So drinkable and complex, especially for the price. I foresee a lot of this in my future. What I've always been looking for in Portugal: their answer to Beaujolais. — 11 years ago

That's a big wine! Lovely. A lot of body, strong structure, well balanced vanilla flavors with fruitness. Long like a Tour de France ;) — 12 years ago
