Forlorn Hope is a producer that has received great press of late, the last couple of bottles I tried, I felt vaguely disappointed, given the reviews. Here at last, is a spot-on dry Gewurztraminer from the Russian River Valley, that is exceptionally floral and deliciously concentrated. Orange blossom, jasmine tea, Cox Pippins. Fermented on skins for seven days, it imparts a lot of texture and even some tannins. Tart, with an almost austere quality, finishes with pink grapefruit and candied orange peel. — 9 years ago

This is actually the Albariño blend, but who really gives a damn. I do. It’s tasty. It’s light and happy. It’s the perfect one glass quaff before my to go is “ding ding, order up!” — 5 years ago
Lean and mean. 1st day had some pleasant reductive funk, day 2 had blown off. I’d compare to cru bojo, bough more savory/less fruit. 10% alcohol. Tasty. 👍 — 6 years ago

Smelled of deep, rich herbal earth. Like a warm summer afternoon hiking in the foothills of Appalachia. The taste was so starkly different to be unrecognizable. Butter, like a steak basted in butter. Fruit was an afterthought, but the entire thing was still big and bold and tricks your senses. Like dating a red headed girl. — 6 years ago
Super pale, reddish copper color, high acidity, slight bitterness, bright earthy aromas, iron, smells of watermelon jolly rancher, yo! — 7 years ago
Delicious! Yeah Rorick, peppery sweet tarts meet light wisps of sage and granite — 8 years ago
A good one. Really full flavored chard. Great drinkability. Will be buying a few more of these — 9 years ago
To quote my brother in law, "That's a whole lotta Christmas in a glass!" Flavorfully spiced but balanced and light enough that buying a magnum makes sense! — 9 years ago
