Raikas, hedelmäinen ja sitruksinen. Erittäin mainio viini kanalle ja seurusteluun. — 8 years ago
truly thunderous, not as fat as vintage would predict, it is a super bottle, wayyyyy better than the 09s tried recently. Drinking really well, there is clean fruit wrapped in acidity and minerality, no oyster shell or chalk, but very Chablis. Texture is rounding out, but there's still a nice bite and I am enjoying it very much. — 9 years ago
Very nice Pinot. Similar to the Clark & Telegraph Pinot, perhaps a little less fruit forward. Glad I am having it on Christmas Eve - pairs very well with all kinds of foods. — 9 years ago
Who am I to criticize a bottle of Mouton Rothschild? Amazing, no doubt. But didn't feel balanced. Great funk on the nose. High acidity and overall mild. — 10 years ago
I am not in agreement with what has been posted on this label: good body, darker than usual left bank Bordeaux, perfect oak derived smokiness and very little tannin for a young bottle. One of the best I have had at an amazing price - paid for it about 30 euro at the Carrefur grocery store in Sallanches, France!
Merry Xmas to all — 10 years ago
One of my favorites. I always keep a bottle on hand for when I am invited to a dinner party. — 11 years ago
Beethoven conducted his 9th Symphony here. Or at least I was told! Smoky Pinot from Austria @rxwinelab — 11 years ago
I volunteer to do the Raffault vertical. (I am so brave) — 12 years ago
Very beautiful...reminds me of a Barolo is the beginning....very complex and bold. But has this gentle landing. I am impressed. — 8 years ago

Ya know those times when you find something in your wine collection you forgot you had? On the allotment list now, but not back for this 2008 (@Roman Sukley did I buy this from you or The Judge?). Strawberry, deep dried cherry, wood, tobacco. Smooth as silk at 15.1, and popped 2 hrs ahead of drinking. My sweetie usually just takes a sip of what I am drinking - last night she asked me to get her a glass, and kept asking me to pour her a little more. Yes. — 9 years ago

An electric laser shot of green fruit/citrus goodness. — 10 years ago
Nice dark fruit with a hint of mint and tannins that add just the right touch. Maybe could use a few more years in the bottle but there are two more! I'll check back in a few years. But for now, I'm am totally happy. — 11 years ago
Drank with Danielle when she & her Fam visited 8/24/15. I really liked it & she loved it (& she is much more of a wine lover than I am) — 11 years ago
Nice structure, crisp with some spice notes, very good!! — 8 years ago
A little fruity like a dry gewurtz — 9 years ago
Cherries and nice acidity... Served it with Nona's homemade ravioli and was delicious! — 9 years ago
Chave does not suck and this vintage is no different. The wine was rich and powerful but after airating the wine for a few minutes the wine opened and revealed great depth and that wonderful purity that this region is known for. The granite soils certainly influence this effort and I for one am glad chave exists. — 10 years ago
This bottle was beautiful and certainly fully developed, showing lots of cedary and animal character, with a dash of cloves and some dried cherries. A bit of harsh acid. I wonder a bit about storage conditions, but with ribeye, am I going to complain? — 10 years ago
I'm going to come clean, I'm not a huge Caymus fan. It's by no means a bad wine - far from it - but I've always felt they blend their Cab with too much Zin. I could be wrong on that account, but I don't think I am. Still, a nice brooding nose of dark red and blue fruit, with a touch of candied fruit and wet earth. — 11 years ago
Wine Spectator #1 bottle and a 40th birthday. I am so happy!!! Chocolate, built for 10 more, and a finish that never stops!!! — 12 years ago
Brilliant! Violet, hazelnut & Morello cherry pie! Valpolicella meets Pinot noir 'Battle Flo-Rell'! — 12 years ago

Not as big as the ‘90 but a beautiful wine. The nose was very earthy when uncorked. Open after 40 minutes of decanting, cedar & spice emerged with cherry. This is a balanced, full wine that still has plenty of life. I am happy to have several more bottles! — 7 years ago
