JFK is someone I greatly admire, along with Churchill, MLK and Margaret Thatcher. Nice to learn a little more about him, while drinking a 2010 Bdx stunner.
Frankly, this is a Napa clone. Lovely notes of barrel toast, sandalwood, truffle and maraschino cherries, which drift onto the palette. Excellent poise and tannic structure. This wine may very well out-live me. For those of you that enjoy the texture and sweetness of Napa blends, give this a try...
For those of us that like to snoop around, on that middle shelf in the background is: Haut Brion, Harlan, Lafite, Scarlett reserve, Realm and Grange. If you are ever in the NY/NY area, come get some love. Let's see some other pics with organ extensions, please 😃 — 8 years ago

@David A Lentine @Christine @Gina Sabean @Robert Takahashi If the nose could have won Wine of The Night then Kenzo would have won. It was soft and seductive, enticing you to relish in its beauty. For as much as we re-visited the Morlet which truly set the benchmark we found ourselves revisiting the Kenzo to compare the nose. Truly beautiful for such a young wine. Unfortunately, youth has its benefits and drawbacks. It was just a 1/10th of a step behind the Morlet due to its youth. Not quite as broad or with as long of a finish. However, we stopped splitting hairs & are now splitting Atoms at this point if you catch my drift. What an absolute Beaty this was this evening!! Simply stunning!
BUT Alas., it was a tasting and a vote must be rendered. 2nd it was but by the smallest of margins. Give this baby a few years to grow into its own and get ready to see a star shine! Bravo!!! And thank you so very much for my birthday gift this year Bob!! IOU one! — 9 years ago
Stone, fruits and tree nuts, till tints if persimmon both on the back palette, and in the lingering medium Oaked finish. Totally worth the price for the fantastic curious flavored that will drift in and out of the tastebuds/olfactory harbor. Huh, can't type right now, going back in! — 9 years ago

As my tastes gradually drift to an old world sensibility, Paso wines are still a guilty pleasure. Purity and richness of fruit (deep dark red in this case), tobacco/leather notes, and a touch of spice. Significant presence of oak/vanilla but not offensively so. Overtone of smoke on a medium finish. Easy to drink alone but also adaptable to a wide range of heartier foods. — 8 years ago
Grapefruit is the most poignant of the many citrus flavors, but it's the wafts of vanilla and the surprisingly rich body that makes this Sav Blanc an attention getter. This isn't your usual cat-wee wee sour lemon juice that you can barely feel. This baby has curves and a richness that gets your attention. At $20 a bottle it feels like a steal, this is going to be my summer wine, I'm going to have a wild affair and fall in love all over again, lost in the bliss of these sweet aromas under sun drenched skies and when September rolls in, life will inevitably drift us apart. But until then, I'm smitten. — 9 years ago

Really big. Mouthful of apricots and peaches. Ridiculously cheap at R45 a bottle. Will try and buy as many as possible. — 11 years ago
Velvety smooth top to bottom. I like it slightly cooler than others (perhaps; 58•F). Intoxicating nose encourages a sip, then a continued pull, then letting it settle and drift down one's throat..:) — 11 years ago
The aromas from this wine drift across the room. Leather, tobacco, coffee, smooth red fruit. On the palate, great complexity with the same tone as the nose, with tobacco sticking around longer on the finish. Great wine. — 7 years ago
After a day trying to keep up with a 7 year old biking along the Elk River my wife and I decided to stop at the Bridge Bistro and have a sandwich and adult beverage. This IPA"Fat Tug" from Drift Wood Brewery in Victoria, BC. Is in my humble opinion the "Gold Standard" for BC IPAs. 🇨🇦🍻 — 8 years ago
Ok always a classic cali blend for me. Over the past ten years it's stayed true to its style. It's a big rich blend, but very harmonious on the palette. On the nose citrus and tropical fruit with brown sugar and river stone. The blanc and gris combine flavors to make a very strong Alsatian grand cru style blend. A lingering finish seems to Drift on and on with medium+ French oak treatment. Definitely a winner for the alt white section. The river stones really come back on the finish. Yum — 8 years ago
The website claims that the wine tastes “the way Pinot Grigio used to taste before it became so popular.” That statement probably lost something in the translation from Italian, but I get their drift.
This Pinot Grigio is, in fact, “not your standard” stuff. The pale golden wine is aromatic enough, with a floral sensibility and a prominent overlay of minerals. A smoky character clouds those flowers and a basket of limes joins the aroma of wet rocks. The palate is pretty exciting, and I don’t have to qualify that statement with “for a Pinot Grigio.” It’s loaded with lemon and lime zest and strident acidity with a delicious salinity on the finish.

Purplish red. Explosive aromas of black cherries and blackberries, with black olive, drift wood and beach sand. The nose is every Merlot lover's wet dream because it's a perfect combo of dark fruit and earthy bliss. Medium bodied, high in tannin, surprisingly bright in acidity, and a slight touch of sweetness. The flavors are black. Black cherry, blackberry, black olive and black tea. Incredible Merlot! — 9 years ago
Wonderful wine. Watching the balloons drift by in the Dordogne Valley while drinking it. Light yeast and great fruit. Gaston Chiquet 2005. — 10 years ago
Great Argentinian Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec - well balanced and great concentration and fruit but not too powerful - it is powerful but more Ina delicate way if you get my drift :) — 10 years ago
Total grapefruit, fruity on the nose, hints of mineral. Great for sitting on the balcony on a sunny day — 11 years ago
Importantly, the food is SoundSide magic..:) This wine is earthy on the nose (dirty enough to seduce) elegantly showing rich dark cherry on first blush that gradually coats one's mouth with a mix of dark fruit then finishes with a velvety downstream drift. An 06 that will likely get better yet..:) — 11 years ago

This is as mystical as the gorgeous flower on the label. Packed with fruit, with an oily texture, off dry but dry if you catch the drift. Simply thrilling. — 6 years ago
