Plum, raspberries, juicy and fruitful but not overpowering sweet. Dryer than Coopers. Better than coopers. The nose is very strong and elegant. Goes down smooth. Has an "evaporation" effect on the end. — 9 months ago

Pretty deep , almost opaque , thin rim . Quite wild , dried herbs , touch of rounded red fruits . More fruit on the palate , quite ripe red fruits , quite soft but fine , nice balanced acidity . Slightly warm. Quite good length though quite dry finish . Nice now , wouldn’t want to leave this too much longer however . — 3 years ago

This is my first experience with this wine. The ruby rim and long legs announce a great wine. And the promise is delivered. I’m greeted with a beautiful bouquet and as soon as I taste it, I decide I have a new favorite wine. 2011 Buena Vista Carneros Pinot Noir. U: Transparent tegelröd D: Fat, tobak. Jordgubb. Vanilj. Väldigt tydlig. Mkt god doft. S: Tuttifrutti, jordgubb. Fatig. Rikligt med syra som får saliven att flöda. Ändå inte alls störande, frukten bär upp ypperligt. Avslutas snyggt och stort med en mjuk smörkola/vaniljtouch. Detta var riktigt bra. Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 7 months ago

Blend of mostly Tempranillo with about equal amounts of Garnacho, Graciano and Manzuelo, deep Ruby with a graceful bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja, still reticent. On the silky smooth palate, elegant with layers of flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character. Very nice and complete Cabernet from Argentina. I feel it rates 91+ for the color and deep red fruit flavors and long finish . Not California Cabernet with lower ABV but European style with complexity and soft tannins. Super deal at $15!!!! Drink in the near term for best enjoyment. — 8 years ago
