2005 Marc & Alex Bachelet formed their domaine with aid of their Uncle Monnot & father, first release of the domaine’s Puligny wines garnered immediate recognition, locally & internationally, a rare feat in the wine world. Sourced from 11 acre vineyard, with an average age of 50 years. Aged for 12 months in French oak, has aromatic red fruit with earthy notes. On the palate cherry and strawberry with currant notes, fine smooth tannins, long finish ending with an earthy mineral character. Nice! — 5 years ago
Excited to check in on this! Harmonious, lengthy, and heady with its perfume. Great memories of tastings with Bobby at my old job, this cuvée named after his son was always a highlight. To me it really focuses on the synergy that old vine Grenache and Mourvèdre can have. There’s a perfect balance of soaked red and black fruits, garrigue, and an exotic spice savoriness that I just love. Structural compliment is there, with the Mourvèdre’s tannic backbone countering the mid-palate weight of the Grenache. As with many 2012s in the Rhône, this has such a great personality, a match of elegance and richness that bring so much joy in the glass. Perfect for turkey day! — 5 years ago

I would drink this every day. Floral delight. Orange wine technically. Perfect summer wine and my favorite of the Kindeli selection I’ve tried so far this vintage. — 5 years ago
Les Murgers abuts the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Vineyard of Champ Gain. Wow, this is a bargain! Elegant nose of ripe stone fruits, citrus and bits of vanilla and biscuit. On the palate ripe apple, peach and pear with lemon zest and some sweetness. Lingering, rich ending with an underlying mineral character. — 6 years ago

Cali cabs all smell about the same to me: well polished with cedar and some Eucalyptus.
Tasting notes carry on this nose. Very elegant red fruits, sweetened by time and ripeness, almost akin to candied fruits in the fruitcakes aftertaste, strong and handsome, yet delicate and pretty., this has everything you want in a Cali can of this age. Nice strong Eucalyptus to round out the wine.
