A lot of really great components--- love the chocolate, chili spice, and coffee---but in the end the sweetness was overbearing. A very good beer still, but more restraint would have made this excellent in my mind. — 11 years ago
This is a nice brew. Full with a hint of sweetness at the beginning. A good ale for nights at the pub. — 11 years ago
One of my favorite pale ales (better than invasion by cigar city imo) — 11 years ago
If you like big hoppy ales that kick you in the crotch, this is for you. At 102 IBUs, this is a big bold IPA. However, it doesn't have the annoying bite of some over hopped IPAs on the market. Very smooth, great for either a cold winter night or a hot summer day. At half the price of most IPAs it's also a great bargain. — 11 years ago
Ridiculous!! — 12 years ago
A well crafted & full flavoured ale. Tropical fruits notes of grapefruit and peach are balanced by a lightly hopped finish with just enough bitterness to match the beer's hint of sweetness. — 12 years ago
One of the great American Golden ales. Aged in French oak barrels. Saline, citrus, just the right sour notes. Perhaps my favorite American ale. — 13 years ago
More sour than other domestic Goses, but refreshing with a nice yeastiness to it. The omission or minimal use of coriander was a welcome surprise. — 10 years ago
Even if the company that makes this didn't take me on a trip to Spain, I'd still rate it highly. A little sweeter the tone, but it's the Bourbon barrel not the yeast. A nice change of pace from typical ales. — 11 years ago
This is a cracker, it is full of flavour and fun... I'd supped a few ales before I entered this pleasuredom so wasn't I expecting much... This wine is so nice you can have it with anything... Bacchus I'm bringing this in the box with me@Delectablewine Delectablewine — 11 years ago

This was a nice surprise. A more subtle IPA than most, but with plenty of hoppy goodness. Earthy tones with a smooth finish. Best of all is this is a bottle conditioned ale meaning very smooth head with smaller more delicate bubbles. As with all fine bottle conditioned ales, pour it slowly to avoid the small amount of sediment on the bottom. — 11 years ago
Fun and easy. Great after a couple of heavy Belgian Ales. Will be too sweet for some but good alternative to a dessert. — 12 years ago
This is a complex, balanced, and really delicious beverage. I'm very proud of how far we've come as a beer-producing nation. — 12 years ago
Mix of dark and light ales. Has a floral & rich taste. — 14 years ago
First time drinking a Barolo with this much age on it. Sugar coated raisins, a touch of licorice, sherry. Perfect for a fan of aged old ales or barleywines — 10 years ago
Maybe the most distinctive of all Trappist ales. Herbal, spicy, dry and very effervescent. Also tried one with a bit of bottle age on it that was even better. — 10 years ago
Let Mom and the kids have their coco. I'll be drinking this rich stout with dark chocolate and coffee flavors. I usually hate flavored ales, but this one is a winner. Delicious after dinner instead of dessert and coffee! — 11 years ago
Another terrific beer from Jolly Pumpkin. Definitely improves with some time in the glass; much better on tap at the brewpub in Ann Arbor. Doesn't have the depth of the La Roja (which is by far my favorite JP), but still a great beer. — 11 years ago
The oak flavor from the whiskey barrel is prominent. One of the better bourbon barrel ales. — 11 years ago
One of the best Belgian ales around — 12 years ago
Delish riff on a Berliner Weisse with a wave of tropical fruit. — 12 years ago
Really good! Very happy to have been turned on to Pretty Things! Says "inspired by the great farm-brewed ales of Belgium." Complex with nice intensity and bitterness... and very drinkable. — 12 years ago

Nice saison. Lots of grass and citrus. More importantly, Happy Birthday to O'Halloran. He says 39 feels great. — 10 years ago
