Mahogany color with molasses, caramel, espresso, bittersweet chocolate and subtle baking spice aromas. On the palate it's full bodied, viscous, and very persistent with a supple mouth feel that's beautifully balanced with a penetrating acidity that keep it from being cloying and persistent with very good acidity that keeps it from being cloying and provides balance. It shows very sweet flavors of molasses, honey-dipped figs, dates, caramel, and baking spice nuanced citrus note with a kiss of oxidation that adds to its allure and complexity. Superbly refreshing. A well made minimally oaked Chard that over delivers way above its price point. Unmistakenly Californian with its toasted oak notes. But it was the mouth feel that blows me away: tons of fresh tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple. Probably the only Cali Chard I like this year! — 8 years ago

This is so delicious. Really quirky packaging 'hints of lipstick and leather'. Perfect to drink now but definitely better after it's been open a day or so. — 9 years ago

Color of inky bubbly purple, with some ruby note. Nose of some oak, fresh grapes, spice, a bit cherry, quite average. Taste of raisin, fermented cabbage, oak, grape skins, a bit zest, and almost nonexistent tannins. Aftertaste of some more grape skins, a bit cocoa, and a bit earthy, definitely not a bold powerful Syrah. — 5 years ago
