Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
& you can spell, so you’re 3 for 3😬
Meyer lemon explosion with chamomile. This wine goes, and goes, and goes....it's an endless abyss of deliciousness. — 10 years ago
Like staring into an abyss: tar, mahogany, coffee grounds. I've never seen a richer hue. Bouquet consist of cherry, currant, liquorice, and chalk. I wish I had the patience to drink this twenty years forward. — 11 years ago
A kick in the teeth. Woody and with a body structured primarily by graphite, gravel, and tar, with only a hint of vanilla that tells you you're drinking Merlot. The palate suggests blackberries and potpourri, as well as an abyss of dark flavors, gritty Cab Franc minerals and aggressive tannins sure to age beautifully for a century. Rough and rugged at this point, still a bit tight and closed. Opens up with more cherry and vanilla after 90 minutes or so. — 11 years ago
Sometimes you like them big and slutty, this is bad bitch here. Deep abyss of blackberry. Velour sweatsuit. — 11 years ago
The usually tight tannic punch has faded and melded with the usual Washington velvet, a dark abyss of blackberry, plum, black cherry, it's in a nice place, I honestly wanted the kick in the mouth, but it's more elegant than you would expect. And I'm okay with buying her dinner, cause she delivers! She wore the long dress, thought I'd be looking at a short skirt, but this long dress is taking me home, thanks! She got feisty after she opened up & she delivers impressed! Give it 1hr and she will sing in your ear! — 12 years ago
I drank you too quickly, my love. You, the embodiment of all that I desire: a soft mist on a grey day, a light wind at an hour in the morning when most of the living cease, an empty road, an open question, a filling in an unknown hole that's been gaping wider by the day. I could try to describe you, you the impermeable, but words can't meet your nose in the night and Eskimo kiss ideas into the abyss of night sky. Just know, we will meet again; it will be as good as it as was. I won't let you be the one that gets away.
As I pull the sheets over you I wonder if I will ever know what love is again. — 10 years ago
Right up there with kbs, abyss, barrel aged bomb! — 10 years ago
Truly a special wine! An abyss of depth yet acidity keeping everything buoyant and fresh. Had this to celebrate the wifey's birthday. She loved it as well. Bravo Nick! — 11 years ago
Black abyss and great because if it. — 11 years ago
The 2012 is all boom here is the dynamite, black abyss of black flowers inky inky black fruits, ripping tannins, going to have to pull it off coravin and let her breathe. Baller ass PV! — 12 years ago
Better than the 2011 which was already a benchmark cab. Welcome to the black abyss, fruit for miles but structure in the bones says it's got a long life, ready to roll, but will develop it's layers instead of the tightly compressed punch it is now, but I like the good jab, — 12 years ago
One of the best beers I've ever had. Cellared for a year after purchase. So smooth and flavorful. Better than abyss and bourbon county. Have a 2015 kbs that I'll compare to soon. — 9 years ago
Black purple color, like the abyss, if you can smell velvet, this would be it! Delicate notes of smoke, bacon, violet, hibiscus, nail polish and purple flower, excellent balanced acidity with firm and velvety tannin that are falling into place and ready to sing, tastes of tobacco, black tea, nutmeg, quince jelly, dried cranberry, prune, licorice, & BBQ'd bacon wrapped date, impeccable balance with changing layers of umami attacking your taste buds, smooth long finish & a savory plum-pomegranate aftertaste. — 10 years ago
Not overly complex, but since when does a wine have to be complex to be good? Straight forward lush dark plum flavors. Deep abyss black as night. So perfect for Chillin & relaxin 😎 with good friends — 11 years ago
Its a prettty prettty pretttty nice! Good tannin to match the plummy spice notes that have a good acidity from the c/f pretty stellar. Black abyss. Love, The firm tannin backing delivers but has finesse as well. It is gripping and very solid. Had years ahead of yet but I'm a predator. — 11 years ago
Thats a serious beer... — 12 years ago
Abyss like, inky, smoky, dense, black and rich with truffle and autumn leaf, iodine bloody notes. In the mouth this is one suave mother licker with plush tannin and an abundant dark fruited complexity, soo-purb! — 12 years ago
Kristin the Wine Girl
Inky abyss in the glass. Can I just drown in this glass? The clovey figgy berry peppery aroma is enough to die for. This would make an incredible mulled wine in the late winter. Clove and cranberry goodness up front on the palate with orange and pepper on the long pleasurable finish. Glad I invested in the 2016 vintage as well, looking forward to the comparison. — 8 years ago
