Gagliole is an ancient property sitting at 1640 feet above seal level. HOwever, having undergone a vine reintegration process, the vines are no older than 30 years. State Archives in Siena mention the estate as far back as 994 A.D. The Sangiovese vines enjoy exposure to the south-southwest, nestled between the gentle Chianti hills. A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% merlot, it is an enjoyable and easy going red. Vibrant cherry, plum, spice and a hint of leather together with well balanced tannins give the expected crisp Chianti Classico flavours sought by many. Approachable now or within the next 3-5 years. Great value!

It was great to have Damien & Angelique Coutelas over and drink some of their excellent Champagne. Their full bodied rose went very well with pork rilletes! — 12 years ago
Really good Bourbon Cask Collection Single Malt Scotch. Dual Scotch/Bourbon taste — 12 years ago
Fint vin med alla underbara champagne-drag. Knallpulver, nektar och mineralsälta. Perfekt balanserad munkänsla. Hade den varit lite längre i syran hade poäng blivit högre. Mycket stabil och prisvärd. — 8 years ago

Anno 2011. Ingresso quasi formaggioso al naso, dove non si esprime al meglio, ma in bocca viene fuori il verdicchio, fresco, minerale, glicerico, inconfondibile. Chapeau — 8 years ago
Chad Stock dazzles again with a genuine orange Grüner Veltliner made with skin contact in amphora. Redolent with satsuma peel & electric kool-aid acidity, this wine is meant for adventurous food, fun people, and open minds. Named for Andrew Beckham, who builds large amphora or kvevri, and a fine winemaker in his own wright. Orange is the new orange!! — 10 years ago
Always an absolute stunner. Perfect blend of bread and stone fruits. — 10 years ago
Still powerful and sanguine after all of these years! It was great to pour an old, good Zin for the Coutelas' and show them a Cali original. — 12 years ago
Lychee, blood orange, candies citrus, almonds, candle wax, carnations. Rounded acidity, juicy texture, medium bodied, grapefruit rind-tart citrus, salty finish. Interesting oddity, might be the ultimate brunch wine. This rating is for the Riesling NOT Vermentino. — 7 years ago
