Super Grenache blend from Ch Neuf D P — 8 years ago
@Bill Bender - not an'84 but something I thought would pair well with the first half of an 11-course tasting menu. So far through course 6, Home Run. A hint of sweet, a ton of savory, minerality and lemon. Great pairing. — 8 years ago
08' Jonata El Desafio has 84% CB 10% PV the rest CF & Merlot. All the fruit is from their estate.
At this stage no need to really decant it... 30 minutes wouldn't hurt it. Very much a fruit forward driven wine. Notes of ripened plum, tobacco, chocolate, leather are pronounced in the wine. Very few wineries this far south are producing high quality left/right bank wines. Drink them up in the next 4/6 years. — 9 years ago
With Fiona, Jacques, Gerard, JK and Jay enjoying '84 Le Pin. Perfect with scrambled egg and truffle. Wonderful combo! — 11 years ago
OMG... and not because of the wannabe "Real Housewives of New Jersey" this evening in Runway 84 in Ft. Lauderdale... Ralph and Las Olas crew hosting, with famed Bahamian Lobster thief Ryan G... Such immediate fruit, black cherry, black currant, candy... 16.5 on the alcohol, you would never know it... Loving this Italian and not the "Big Ang" look-a-like to my right.... — 11 years ago

Red fruits with noticeable stalks from whole bunch fermentation - great balance and medium bodied with fluid juicy textures - last of 3. This is showing better than the previous 2 bottles. I sometimes get overly influenced by HHs reviews He gave this only 84 points and it is 10 points better than that. — 5 years ago
Hmm.. I'm torn. Don't get me wrong - I like it, it's just not what I remembered. This year's rendition of Mark Herold's Flux is 84% Grenache with a dash of Syrah and Mourvèdre. The nose is great with high toned fresh raspberries and crushed rose, baking spice and olive brine. The palate is really bright with loads of high-toned fruit, very pretty acid, and medium body weight. It's a vibrant and playful wine to be sure, with a beguiling nose.. it's just not the serious wine that I've enjoyed in the past couple of vintages. — 7 years ago
Damn! This 84 is still supple and alive like a beautifully maturing Bordeaux. — 8 years ago
Tres Bon!! Lots of spice and very fruit forward. Really softened up after an hour decant. Full bodied Rhone, but primarily Grenache which explains the spice. Long, pleasant finish. Yummy. — 8 years ago
84 темпранильо, 13 гарнача, 3 масуэло.аромат весьма закрытый: намек на тона выдержки, легкая пряность, дуб. Хороший баланс: мощные танины и кислотность,еще очень молодо — 9 years ago
Medium body. Good value. Pike and Western select. — 11 years ago

06' Agharta Black Label. 84% Grenache 14% Syrah 2% Viognier. Aged 52 months in barrel. Just absolutely unheard of for a California wine(possibly unnecessary?)
What a wonderful nose- Rose petals, violets, spices. The palate- Ripened-red fruits, licorice, earthiness, pepper. Light acidity/ tannins. A beast upon first sip. Nice and approachable with a 30 to 60 minute decanting... becomes a medium- bodied wine. I would drink them by 2019. — 9 years ago
The first Cab I loved many years ago. Not quite what I remembered, but still pretty nice. — 10 years ago
Deliciously balanced yet fruit forward. Perfect level of structure to pair well with food — 10 years ago
Thursday night and back at Runway 84 in Ft. Lauderdale... This wine is a good find. The only thing better than this wine and besides Shelly's dramatic weight loss is his shirt/tie pairings... I mean what the F---? Me and Ralph are convinced that you have not picked up an issue of GQ in the last 10 years... — 11 years ago
Shay A

Disgorged 2018 after 84 months on the lees.
This is Egly-Ouriet’s late disgorged offering, and it’s another scintillating champagne that seals my opinion that they are my favorite producer across all offerings. The texture, complexity and character of these champagnes check off every box for me. I’m always chasing Jacques Selosse, and while that’s a goal that will never be achieved (because Selosse champagnes have no equal), this is the closest I’ve come to in regards to style and complexity. Surprisingly, this only has one extra year on the lees compared to their Les Crayeres offering (my favorite), and it’s much more vinous. The aromatics here are ripe, rich and slightly oxidized golden delicious apple, pear, honeyed apricot, orange blossom, and almond croissant. Very fine mousse, to where this almost goes more old white burgundy in style, but still retaining sharp acidity. The palate shows so many floral (honeysuckle) notes alongside more pear and apricot, with a kiss of red fruits and chamomile. Extremely lengthy finish that trends toward caramel but continues to a more tart side instead of sweet. I need to get my hands on an older bottle. — 5 years ago
