YUM. This is exactly what I want in my Gamay - barely effervescent, a little funk and super juicy. #shouldhavebought2 — 7 years ago

Lovely cab franc/cab sauv blend. Great with food, grilled meats especially. — 7 years ago
Started in 1972 with a simple philosophy - to focus production on only one varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot & 0.5% Malbec. Dark opaque Ruby with aromas of red fruits, oak, sweet herbs and spice. On the palate raspberry and blackberry flavors with notes of cacao and espresso. Fine dusty tannins, satisfying acidity on lingering smooth finish ending with sweet oak tones. Nice! — 8 years ago
Deep purplish ruby red. A bit of heat on the nose with dark berries. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. More integrated on the palate than the Clone 6. Solid dark berries, black cherries and a little black fruits on the palate. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028. — 8 years ago
Zingy lemon dry sweetness at the front, buttered roll at the end. This is a stellar wine. Iconic bottling from an iconic producer. — 9 years ago
Pretty good... Not too overpowering, so would go well with a variety of foods. Really like that the vineyard uses sustainable practices also! — 10 years ago
Really nice blend from Gascony. 35 sb 35 col 20 ugni 10 gros manseng. God value, interesting. — 10 years ago
This 2004 was simply amazing. The group of 6 of us enjoyed the first bottle from the case so much we drank 4 more.... Paired well with a simple salami (pork, donkey, beef, pepper, salt, and garlic) and a local bread. — 10 years ago

Magnum 1982 Pichon Longueville Contesse de Lalande. First time any of us had tried this. July 4 group dinner at Bouch (A&S, J&D B, McC). Loved this. Decanted and served pretty quickly. — 7 years ago
Happy Thanksgiving 2017! 4 Winds will be the 1st one. Super approachable 2013! Solid & high quality experience from Thomas. — 8 years ago
Garnet. Orange medium-sized rim.
Lovely balanced with aromas of cigarbox, dried red apples, figs and chocolate. Really a blend of red ripe fruits and dark fruits. Peppery.
Dry. Medium acidity. Medium high plus tannins. Medium plus alcohol. But very well integrated. Full, lean body.
Great balance.
Serve at 16 degrees celsius with braised ox, cabbage and butter fried artichokes.

Wine from Gran Canaria's "badlands" -- violets, juicy juice, nice kick at the end. Can do with a slight chill below cellar and even more stellar with food from the grill. — 10 years ago

We had the 2012 Vintage on 4/25-26/20. A terrific wine with tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch, licorice and spice. A full bodied, fruit forward wine with a long finish. Ready to drink right out of the bottle. — 5 years ago
