One of our favorites to drink during our Friday night dungeons and dragons campaigns. Pairs well with both Orcs and Elves which is surprising. — 6 years ago

Grateful for the opportunity to taste. — 7 years ago
Full mouthfeel, can taste the oak from the barrels it is aged in. Initially too many tannins and overwhelming, but once opens up it is a nice wine. — 8 years ago
Pleasantly spicy and lots of character. Decant first. — 9 years ago
Oh heck. I wish I had more. I don't know Aussie wine but don't think that would make a big diff in how to interpret this oner. It is an individual and a nice one at that.
It is smooth and merlot Berry then POW there are your Gewurtztraminer spices and whoa. Despite my hatred of the color of yellow I can dig it. Yowza. — 9 years ago

One of the best CA Viogniers I have ever had! — 10 years ago
Balanced but fruit is front and center through to the finish with a soft velvety tongue. The bourbon barrels come through with a deliciously harmonious, and unique surprise. — 6 years ago

Easy drinking cab. Shared with Mom in SoHo — 7 years ago
As soon as I read that this wine had been aged in whiskey barrels for 2 months, I had to try it! It's delicious. It's the perfect balance of fruity and smokey. Definitely worth 12 bucks. — 8 years ago

Crushable. Great summertime wine. — 9 years ago
Wow - an amazingly complex wine. Great quality Barossa Shiraz finished in Scotch Whisky barrels. The whisky barrels certainly change the flavours in the wine. Well worth the money at $25. Can't wait to try the Cab Sav. — 10 years ago
Amazing! Temp like red, decant, close your eyes and have a red! — 7 years ago
Bold flavor, very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
Big old world fruit bomb! Actually a Monastrell/Syrah 50/50 Blend. Loads of intense red and black fruit with elements of vanilla and toffee. Aged in bourbon barrels. Long finish. I actually served this one as a dessert wine because of the BIG fruit. Thanks for this bottle, Bud. — 7 years ago
Couldn't hold out any longer, I've had this at least 7-10 days now,
Great cork for a 22 year old bottle, juice is great! No brown or bricking of the wine. Someone stored this properly.
Old school 13.2 abv,

Drinking wonderfully at 12 years of age with a nice mix of fruit and tobacco notes. Solid wine for the price. — 9 years ago
What a lovely surprise. This wine is quite fascinating and easy drinking. Small batch aged in both new and old bourbon barrels, imparting a delightful spice with caramel and vanilla . As a Zinfandel typical in color and appearance. Dark, fruity and rich. Initial bouquet is subtle and simple of ripe berries and vibrant cherries. The aroma
builds in complexity with a depth of fruit and rich flavor that expresses a wonderfully crafted wine. Don't judge this wine by the initial tasting, savor it as it warms up to you.
