Dense dark red. Not crystal clear, light fining(?). Longish legs.
Rich peppery nose with some sweet oak.
Rich young wine. A lot of spice and fruit flavors covers whole palate but not fully integrated yet. Long finish with lingering fruit and mid weight tannins.
Very nice wine. Will be interesting to see how it ages.

2014. Very pale with very faint green tinges.
Lively nose. Not typical Chardonnay. Green apples, some grassiness.
Well balanced for a young wine. Unripe fruit? Balanced by acid squeeze and a nice long after taste.

1992 vintage. Great example of the renowned aging potential of a good Hunter shiraz. Dark red colors. Edges starting to thin. Well integrated nose with some age characteristics. Interesting honey and cinnamon tone. Lovely even palate. Ripe berry flavor predominates. Gentle tannic squeeze. Very nice wine. — 10 years ago

Mount Mary 1986 Chardonnay Lillydale Victoria
Needed time to breath and soften.
Mid straw colour. Hint of brown. Edges showing some thinning.
Restrained and integrated butterscotch nose with nice butteriness and a little toastiness .
Taste follows the nose. Good coverage of the palate. Acid squeeze followed broad even after palate. Nice wine but not outstanding.
