outstanding pizza wine, at Taconelli's in Philadelphia (BYO). Freisa, who knew? A major step up from the Canavese reviewed earlier. $18 in NJ — 11 years ago
a wonderful Beaujolais Morgon...... on sale for $13, saw 2013 for close to $30. Wish they had another case....... — 11 years ago
Bought through the PA state store for $49....A real bargain from our local monopoly. — 11 years ago
Had the'78 with 26 others big eaters at annual Cassoulet party at Raccoon Creek Vineyards in NJ. Crazy fantastic food, great company, to many river to even remember, but this and the Mas Blanc solera bottling were standout dessert wines. These Roussillon beauties can easily hold their own with other port like sweets. It's just that you need 25 people to finish two bottles of them. Very interesting, both of them. Glad I saved them. — 11 years ago
The next to last bottle of several cases purchased from Kermit in the early 90's (ah.... the 90's). what a great experience to have all of them over 20 or so years, this wine is still fantastic! I don't think it will ever give up.... That being said, I had many corked bottles in that cache. still, it's been an education.... first rate! La Tourtine — 11 years ago
100% Mondeuse, light but very tasty. very enjoyable, and a bargain at $8 on sale — 11 years ago
Fascinating wine from Sicilia ages in clay amphora, 2013. Obviously youthful but couldn't resist as long as I had some backup bottles. Tons of fruit and acidity, Drinking at home with My Baby, and eating lamb chops. Who cares if we're snowed in? — 11 years ago
what a pretty wine, substantial amount of Freisa, really don't know much about it, except us used sometimes for fizzies. Trying a Langhe from Aldo Conterno later with 80% of that grape. — 11 years ago
Outrageous intensity. Perfection. 10 people shared this bottle of 40 year old desert wine. probably could last considerably longer, I have a 73 to try, and a couple of 20 year blends. a real pleasure from SW France. — 11 years ago
