Honeyed medium yellow to the sight, true to its age. White floral and lemony vibrant notes dance on my nose. A touch reductive on the initial sip, the palate opens up with time to showcase classic mineralite and a vibrant fruit core with notes of citrus and to a lesser extent, stone fruits. Lovely weight with great mouth caressing viscosity and silkiness. Definitely in a good drinking window with no sign of fading and evolving in the glass over a lovely 2 hour Cantonese cuisine dinner. Absolutely spot on! — 8 days ago
Kee Ming Chi
Medium purple in colour with a strong blackcurrant nose. Initial sips reinforce the black fruit character with hits of black berry and currants coming through. Fruit concentration is good with firm acidity holding the package together well. Oak influence is well integrated and subtle. A bit light through the mid palate but has flashes of Margaux elegance. Enjoyable but does not seem to want to give more and little to none tertiary evolution can be seen even though it is from a weak vintage and supposedly not able to hold. A nice wine to go with food and the pricing of the vintage means one is less likely to be upset with the value proposition it offers. Bought en primeur and professionally stored so bottle should, and is, in good shape. Can be held longer but not sure it will offer much more with further cellaring but happy to be proven wrong. — 2 days ago
