Its a historical rum with the exact recipie from the british navy since 1655 to 1970. This is supposedly the same stuff issued to british sailaors for their rum rations or "tot" for nearly 300 years. And its pretty good! — 9 years ago

This is one the most flavorfull of beers Ive tasted. It also had a small layer of yeast residue at the bottom of the bottle. This isnt a sign of disgust as true craft goes since such a sign shows its quality. (It isnt filtered which allows more flavors to exist as was done in the old ways and with craft beers of today) — 10 years ago

Although not a smooth rum as compared to better rated rums. It has a history and is quite able to sip slowly by itself for its price. — 10 years ago

This is what I've always felt what the word "stout" has come to mean. Strong alcoholic drink. But with the flavors of guiness. This is the real stuff if your chest is hairy, and you have very tall tales to brag about. (It's strong) — 10 years ago
