Pours a deep, dark purple red. The nose is not sweet and has an obvious undertone of the alcohol. A good combination of very dry yet fruity. Reminds me of under-ripe tangy cherries. Doesn't overpower. Tried it with an aged goat cheese and it went very well. Also good with a rosemary rubbed cut of steak. — 10 years ago
