2015 vintage. Already very drinkable, mid-gold, although we decanted. Great texture and mouthfeel with opulent flavours of tree-ripened white stone fruit. Did well with crab raviolo and a calf’s brain & ceps salad at the excellent Medlar in Chelsea, London. — 8 years ago

A top estate in Montefalco, but the hot 2005 vintage is showing undesirable raisiny characteristics. Not typical of this excellent producer. Avoid the 2005 now. — 10 years ago

Fontarca back on form. 2012 still holding up well, but looking forward to the new 2013 release. Despite the relatively high price it is probably best to DYA. Although the winery has some exceptional older vintages in its library. — 10 years ago
