Smooth, spicy, still young but already very elegant 100%Syrah from 2ha on the south of Tain l’Hermitage commune.
Fermented on native yeasts. MLF in barrels. Aged for 16 months in oak.
Blackish purple, light ruby rim.
Obducing bouquet of goudron, pine forest, dried lavender, black gooseberry, black fruit marmalade, gore, wet earth, smoked leather, bonfire, candlelight, black currant juice, huckleberry, ink, crushed mulberry, blueberry, sesame seed halva, dried blue fig.
Extremely well rounded palate of medium body, finely integrated acidity, velvety tannins. Black currant jam, blackberry, black cherry, black gooseberry, prune, blue fig, marzipan, milky choco, ash, peppermint, bilberry, pu er tea, cloves.
Lengthy finish of earth, hazelnut, black currant peels and huckleberry juice.
Paired cube steak nicely.
