Typical CdP nose, spices, clay, earth. A big, heavy wine with new oak and a bite on the back palate. Would not give this 94 like Parker did, but suspect this will be better tomorrow after slow ox in the bottle.

A big powerful take on CDP. Darker fruit, more tannin, less acid. While a big wine, it has enough texture & smokiness that bring some finesse. Good stuff.

While I love this wine, and the other wines made by Xavier, this is a tough one. They're using new oak, which takes the profile more towards Cali Zin. Modern, not classic, but still a sexy beast.
