If any of you Bordeaux drinkers are wondering whether their is a lawsuit for copyright name infringement, there is one. I'll take bets on which producer wins the case. The grapes comes from a range of sites in McLaren Vale. The Angelus sat in oak for 18 months with 30% new. Nose has warm black plum, blackberries & fresh violets. The tannins are meaty, sticky, dark cassis & tarry. Elegant, rich, ripe; blackberries, blueberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, dark chocolate, mocha, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, light soft leather, dry stems, black tea, crushed dry rocks, violets, mint, menthol & high acidity. The finish is round, lush & elegant that lasts well over a minute. Photos are of a covered open top fermenter and the main Cellar Door. Wirra Wirra translates to, "amongst the gummy trees."

Pretty good wine here by the team at Wirra. Accessible style but has class in tow. Blackberry, black currant, some menthol lift, liquorice and cedary oak. Reckon a few years will benefit the wine as it comes together structurally

More sensational Cabernet Sauvignon from Wirra Wirra. Such an under-appreciated variety in Mclaren Vale. This 2014 has waves of aromas and flavours, that encourage you to look deeper. Combined with silky fine tannins makes this impressive drinking now (just released) and the decade ahead.
