I’ve got a lot of late 90s Mosel Riesling in my wine cellar because it’s phenomenal wine and unbeatable value for money. I think I paid $20 a bottle for a case of this wine a few years ago and I just shake my head in wonder that you can get such stony honeysuckle rainwater deliciousness for so little money. Lots of bottle variation at this age of course, this one had a hint of mustiness in the finish. But as something to drink with Shanghainese food, it’s hard to find anything better.
