A fucking monster of a wine. Huge, dense tannins, spice, rich dark red fruit. Very Ordóñez stylistically

A beast, 9 years young an counting this is a dense wine with layers of powerful flavor and structure. Hailing from a 1.78 hectare shallow soil single vineyard and 1/3 planted on bare rock in 1975. Oak tank fermentation and new French oak barrique aging for 16 months yields a powerful wine with a streak of minerality and classic notes of tobacco, leather and spice from the Tempranillo. Age this another 5 and it should be even better.
