My first #romania Transylvanian red from the Feteasca Neagra varietal. Plush dark berry jam aroma. I get a bit apprehensive when the label mentions “vanilla” fearing grotesque oaky-vanilla but it’s well integrated here with a bit of spice, cocoa and cola on the finish supported by plenty of acidity. There’s not much of a long finish but soft tannins overall. Really strong QPR here for $6 a bottle at Total Wine
