When cleaning out my wine refrigerator I found a sparkling red wine, a late summer jewel made of 100% Brachetto D’Acqui. Question-is this 2006 Banfi Rosa Regale from the Piedmonts region still enjoyable? Although slightly darker in color with less frizzante, it is full of fruit, strawberries, raspberries and red cassis. Serve ice cold with a soft cheese such as Brie, small Chicken Salad Sandwiches, your favorite hummus of the day and roasted pistachios. And it’s only 7.25% alcohol!
