Amazing champagne with great age. Gold in color, dried apricots, honey, nutty and slight brioche. Acid carries all the way thru...bday celebration! Outside on the slopes paired with cheese...great setting..

Medium gold color. Not showing much in the glass in terms of effervescence and bubbles. A little oxidative on the nose. Notes of bread and a little caramel. Remembered that this came via an auction lot of various bottles so provenance unknown. Interesting that with air it got better as a wine, but as a champagne it was a bit lacking.

Butter, yeast, spiced pear. Nice acid, less complexity than ideal. A little later than ideal consumption but near peak.

Oxidative with delicious mouthfeel, buttered toast and almonds, and a fine mousse that has lost just a touch of carbonation. An absolute treat poolside!
