Very raisiny indeed, with heaps of pepper and warm spice and a hot alcoholic burn. A bit of black cherry and chocolate with a woody, hot finish. Doesn't seem quite in balance to me, or as elegant as other Amarones I've had. The 17% alcohol really seems to be making this one hot and boozy. Won't be buying again at $56.00.

2011. First time trying this Amarone and so positively surprised. Full bodied, juicy, firm tannins, oak vanilla and raisin notes on the finish.
