Whoa!! Lots of grilled meat smoke and gun powder on the nose. Pepper and leather and spice box. Finish is earthy and mushroomy and long.

KWN Wine 4. Leathery. Pepper. Smoked meat. Forest floor. A long, earthy finish. Rhone-like. Fantastic. Very close second to the #WOTN.

Jul 23rd, 2016Sleek, powerful, silky with loads of smoke and wet earth notes. The fruit is there showing boysenberry and cherry liqueur flavors, though a little muted given its age. The tannins prove ever present on the finish. Past prime but a truly wonderful wine.
