This is the 2020 vintage (remembering they harvest early in NZ) seems like some CM (carbonic maceration ) big black cherry fruit with some subtle spice and earth.

Some fun post-work bottles with a dear friend, in the wine trades. No formal notes.

I had the 2015 vintage of this wine a number of years ago and didn't care much for it. I decided to give it another chance after running across it again, albeit the 2020 vintage. Fantastic. Aromas of violets, red fruit, and spice. On the palate, cherries, strawberries, and a bit of menthol. 100% Gamay. 6/6/23.

Easy drinking, bursting with red fruity flavours. Changes to a slightly more fruity and herbaceous palate with spicy food and to flavours of honey comb when paired with chocolate
