Tardieu-Laurent
Vieilles Vignes Cornas Syrah

Dark and brooding in the glass. Deep fruit forward nose. Notes of black cherries, earth, and a little menthol. No signs of the fruit being overripe or scorched. Rich and smooth. Doesn’t come across as Cornas but everyone enjoyed this.

Monthly WTF wine group meet up. No true theme this month. Some wines tasted blind.
Tasted blind. Herbal tomato, stewed meat (but very faint), and a burnt rhubarb on the nose. Very resolved and put together. Little white pepper and charred old black cherry on the finish. Didn’t get much iron out of this like I do with northern Rhône...I called it Grenache. Thanks @Bill Makens
