The many years of cellaring have definitely softened the edges of this wine. I’m surprised at the lack of nose elements but all of the flavor is still there. What a delightful special occasion wine this is after 20+ years. Tonight I’m celebrating not going into work in the morning! The oak is really prevalent and a surprising lack of tannins present themselves in this wonderful wine. One of the best wines I’ve had in a while.
