My first ever wine from Vermont. Gorgeous on the nose with roses, tar and cherry blossom. On the palate there is a lot less going on. The initially vibrant fruit faded quickly to reveal a ferrous quality. Thanks @Julia Geisler for the chance to try such an interesting wine. Vermont. Who knew?

Not an overwhelming wine but it reflects the Vermont lifestyle pretty clearly — relaxed, pleasant, but overall unexciting (not a bad thing). Somebody spiked the cherry juice. This was $30 and I would absolutely buy again, it would be perfect for a light drama-free dinner party with friends (vs. the drama of an intense red).
Edit: there’s an almost caramel smell left in the glass, delicious (I’m hungry)
