Mar 26th, 2017Hoped for more, but fine (for being on sale). Wholly mediocre, which is wrong for ripasso. Definitely getting dinged for failing to meet expectations; perfectly drinkable, even good, maybe.

Funk noted by others in 2011 is not in evidence at all in the 2012 vintage. The wine is medium bodied with a chewy raisin vibe and hints of oak and pencil shavings. Dry on the finish with a bit of stem.

Oct 3rd, 2016Not bad but too average now - nose is fine, but palate is not focused, slightly spicy, slightly acidic - missing balance. Can't read it clearly, maybe it is too young now.
